The Surface Mount Process

Our surface mount pick and place machines may place up to 30,000 surface mount parts per hour. Two machines in tandem work well together when placing a variety of SMT parts. Please see our production line for more information.

  • Samsung CP-45FV-DC, Pick & Place Machine with 6 heads & Fly-Vision alignment, inspection & placement close to 20,000 cp/h, placing components from 0201 packages to BGA's.
  • Samsung CP-20V (S-2000), Pick & Place Machine with 2 heads & Fly-Laser alignment, inspection & placement close to 10,000 cp/h, placing components from 0402 packages, fine-pitch chips, BGA's and non tape and reel components.

 

Here's a close up of the optical heads in action. This machine places many part sizes from 0201 passives to QFP's, PLCC's, BGA's (45mm x 45mm).

The reel feeders capacities are maximized by using both sides of the machine. 

At 52 reels each side the total reels for this machine alone is 104, consequently we support small to very large BOMs (bill of materials).
